A team spokesman confirmed Wednesday night that Jackson's mother, Betty Lee, died over the weekend in Los Angeles following a long illness. Her passing came two weeks after Jackson's brother [url=http://www.packerscheapstore.com/randall-cobb-jersey-cheap]Randall Cobb Jersey[/url] , John Jr., died unexpectedly.

Jackson intends to stay with the Browns through next week's exhibition opener against the New York Giants while the family finalizes funeral plans.

Beyond his daily duties, Jackson's every move on and off the field as the Browns' camp is being chronicled by cameras for HBO's "Hard Knocks."

Jackson's agent, John Thornton, told Cleveland that the deaths have deeply affected the coach.

Five-time Pro Bowl defensive tackle Haloti Ngata and linebacker Corey Nelson have agreed on one-year contracts with the Philadelphia Eagles, according to two people familiar with the deals.

Both people spoke to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity Tuesday because the deals won't be official until the league year starts Wednesday.

Ngata leaves the Detroit Lions to add depth on a strong front four that already landed Michael Bennett last week in a trade with Seattle.
