Ravens training camp highlights & lowlights: 8/4/18 Another day without the pads http://www.ravensauthorizedshops.com/authentic-marshal-yanda-jersey , so there’s not much to report on for the offensive line, defensive line or the running backs.Player of the day: TE Mark AndrewsStepping onto the field and hauling in five catches is a way to let people know you’re back in action. Mark ran sharp routes and made some tough catches, and Harbaugh mentioned him after practice.“He showed a little knack for route running today,” Harbaugh said. “Which is kind of what wethought we drafted.”OffenseIt was tough not placing Jaelon Acklin as the Player of the Day. He made multiple big-time catches demonstrating he’s capable of adjusting in mid-air. This is one of the times the Ravens are finally deep at wide receiver and a talented player such as himself won’t have a bigger chance to land on the roster. I suspect if he doesn’t crack through with the Ravens he’ll be landing on a practice squad or a final 53 somewhere else.Chris Moore continues to make catches all over the field. He is sharp in routes, strong at the point of attack and makes far more catches than expected due to his size in contested areas. No quit in this man. He also scored a one-handed touchdown against Brandon Carr in one-on-one red-zone drills.During one-on-one red-zone drills, Jordan Lasley made a tough grab against Marlon Humphrey. The cornerback’s arm was in-between Lasley’s and he fought through the defensive play, securing the ball and stepping out of bounds. Remember, earlier in camp the same thing occurred against Stanley Jean-Baptiste and it turned into an interception. Great work by the receiver.Fans are still waiting to witness the new offense, but they’re looking great in camp. The hype around John Brown and Michael Crabtree is warranted, but many forget Willie Snead IV is making plays daily. The three receiver sets will be exciting this season.Hayden Hurst produced an up-and-down practice. He caught a great catch over the middle, but he also lined up and made a couple mental mistakes as the morning wore on. He spoke at the podium about needing to learn both tight end positions before he is comfortable playing faster.Jaleel Scott bobbled another pass in catching drills and was on the wrong end of a Robert Griffin III frustration. After the incomplete pass, Griffin III was yelling for him to run a different route on the play. Earlier though, he scored a red-zone drill one-on-one against Carr.Today was a first as Joe Flacco overthrew John Brown on a deep pass down the sideline. I didn’t know it was possible to overthrow Brown due to his blazing speed.DefenseAnother day, another Tavon Young interception. The slot-cornerback bullied Janarion Grant in one-on-one drills, pushing him aside, jumping the route before Grant and trotting away with the stolen football. With Patrick Onwuasor out, Kenny Young feasted on the first-team reps. The speed and instincts with Kenny are shining through. He has a real shot of taking over the starting linebacker position beside C.J. Mosley. It’s looking more like Willie Henry is starting beside Brandon Williams over Michael Pierce. He worked frequently with the starters today.A tough day for Brandon Carr, allowing a couple big plays and two touchdowns in red-zone drills. Both Jaleel Scott and John Brown scored against the veteran cornerback.Ravens vs. Colts: 7 competitions to watch for Final rosters are due at 4:00 p.m. ET on September 1. Until that time Cheap Maurice Canady Jersey , the Ravens will continue to judge and move players until they’ve decided upon their final set up. They get another big glimpse at their players in action tomorrow, against the Indianapolis Colts. For the fans, I’ve lined up seven different competitions worth watching.Right TackleBoth Orlando Brown Jr. and James Hurst are playing snaps with the first-team offense. Zeus Jr. has excelled in both preseason games, but the coaching staff has already said James is the man for the job. I urge all fans to watch the right tackle play from both, judging who is truly the better prospect.Inside LinebackerIt looks as if Patrick Onwuasor is locked in as the starter beside C.J. Mosley, but Kenny Young is still playing rather well. On defense, watch for their instincts and break on the ball once they find where it is going. Both are playing fast and look poised to produce big-time plays on the inside.Wide ReceiverMost of this competition is locked up. For me, I see the top four players name tags welded into the final 53, but there’s still a unique competition between Tim White, Janarion Grant and Breshad Perriman. I am confident Jordan Lasley makes this roster, so he isn’t really competing with the others, but Grant and White offer similar roles and Breshad is clinging onto the last few games. If Perriman gets more reps with the second-string defense I’ll suspect he’s being looked at as the sixth or seventh receiver, but the team still needs a return man. The Ravens did play Willie Snead IV in some return practices, so maybe they’re okay with White and Grant walking while keeping Perriman.CenterStill feels like this one is unknown. Both Alex Lewis and Matt Skura are competing against one another for this job. I’m rather interested in seeing the Ravens push Lewis to center, move Hurst over to left guard and keeping Zeus Jr. at right tackle to build a bigger offensive line to protect Joe Flacco. We all know Hurst performs better at guard, Lewis is a bigger lineman than Skura, so he can handle the physical element better and Zeus Jr. is the best right tackle on the team in.Running backI posted about this earlier today, but it looks like Gus Edwards Jr. is the candidate to win the third tailback spot behind Alex Collins and Javorius Allen. If Kenneth Dixon plays today http://www.ravenscheapshops.com/cheap-authentic-john-brown-jersey , we’ll see more of this competition, but until then, watch how Edwards plays. He’s a bigger back, which is something the Ravens usually carry on the roster.Tight EndOnly so many roster spots are available, and there are four players on the roster hoping they can land on the final two spots. Both Maxx Williams’ and Nick Boyle’s stocks are rising, but with Darren Waller’s return, it could spell trouble for one of them. There’s also Vince Mayle, who provides secure hands and good play on special teams. Unfortunately, Waller also offers special teams value, pushing Mayle out of the spotlight in that regard. The Ravens are clearly keeping Hayden Hurst and Mark Andrews, so focus on the previously mentioned tight ends and see if they can hold their blocks and also get open in space.Defensive LineOnce again, a top-heavy position with most spots being claimed by the incumbents, but there’s depth to be needed and there’s competition with the second- and third-string players.Zach Sieler has received great praise recently. His big frame and strength went on display against the Rams, too. There’s also Carl Davis, Chris Wormley and Bronson Kaufusi hoping to land on the roster. Watch for their push on defense, their pass rush technique and stopping the run.
