Panthers training camp 2018: Meet the 90-man roster The Carolina Panthers begin their 2018 journey at Wofford College in beautiful Spartanburg http://www.panthersfootballauthentic.com/c.j.-anderson-jersey-authentic , SC on Thursday with the start of training camp. Before camp begins, let’s take a closer look at the 91 men* who will participate in the next few weeks of grueling practices in preparation for the season. To make this easier to follow, the players will be broken down by position group and listed in alphabeitcal order.Quarterbacks (4)Kyle AllenGarrett GilbertTaylor HeinickeCam NewtonRunning backs (7)C.J. I’m also confident that this 91-man roster will change several times over the next few weeks as Ron Rivera churns the bottom third of the roster to search for hidden gems. We’ll keep you posted when such churns happen.*- Efe Obada doesn’t count against the team’s 90-man roster as part of the NFL International Pathway Program. He will once again be the 11th member of the practice squad and cannot be activated to the 53-man roster or released this season.Update: According to Bill Voth, the Panthers can place Obada on the 53-man roster this year. If they choose not to, he will have to clear waivers before he can be added to the practice squad. The Panthers can then use the IPPP exception to keep him as the 11th man on the practice squad, but then would not be able to add him to the 53-man roster at any point this season. They could also add him to the practice squad without the IPPP exception Womens Taylor Moton Jersey , but would lose the 11th practice squad slot and Obada could be poached by another team. (h/t to carolinallday for bringing this to my attention)**- Chris Manhertz will begin training camp on the Physically Unable to Perform (PUP) list.***- Amini Silatolu is listed on the roster as a tackle but is currently penciled in as the starter at left guard. The Panthers will be without three-time Pro Bowl tight end Greg Olsen and second-team All-Pro Bowl right tackle Daryl Williams for the foreseeable future. The team announced Tuesday that Olsen re-fractured the same right foot that kept him out of nine games last season in Carolina's 16-8 win over Dallas on Sunday. Olsen will not have surgery and will be reevaluated on a "monthly basis." He'll remain on the team's roster in hopes that he can return later in the season as he did a year ago.Williams suffered an undisclosed knee injury and will need surgery.Ranked as the top right tackle in the NFL last season by Pro Football Focus, Williams is likely headed for injured reserve. He tore the MCL and dislocated the patella in his right knee in training camp, but fought back to play in the season opener.Rookie Ian Thomas is expected to replace Olsen in the starting lineup, while Amini Silatolu is next in line to take over at right tackle.Unlike last year http://www.panthersfootballauthentic.com/daryl-williams-jersey-authentic , the 33-year-old Olsen opted not to have surgery. He posted a statement on Twitter Tuesday that he is optimistic that his season is not over."After consulting with our medical team, we have determined the best course of action is to press forward with my rehab in hopes of playing again this season," Olsen said.Olsen added that he and the training staff will "re-examine our options this offseason in regard to my foot and our path forward.""To say I am disappointed in the development would be an understatement," Olsen said. "I believe my greatest career achievement has been my ability to play every game for over a decade. Unfortunately the last two seasons have not continued that trend."
